Transforming Healthcare Using Digital Health

From mHealth apps and wearables, to blockchain-based electronic health records and social media, new technologies in healthcare are transforming the well-being of communities and populations. We know the path forward to improving health equity, access and outcomes is digital. And the opportunity is enormous.

In this 6-week course, you will build the foundational knowledge and tools to identify your opportunity within the digital health space. Whether you want to build your own product or develop expertise on the current landscape, this course will help you understand the existing digital health landscape, identify a problem area that digital health could help solve, and gain competencies in crafting problem statements and value propositions.

By the end of this 6-week online course, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build a foundational understanding of what digital health is and how it can be used to transform healthcare
  • Craft a problem statement for a health problem you would like to solve or study
  • Refine a product idea (new or existing) for the problem you would like to solve or study
  • Develop a product development timeline
  • Analyze the current market to select an implementation and/or commercialization strategy for a new or existing product
  • Prove value of a new or existing product to its true customers


There are no professional, academic, or testing requirements. However, this program is most beneficial for:

  • Healthcare professionals, including physicians, counselors, nurses, technicians, and administrators who seek a leading role in shaping the future of care
