Course Description

This six-week hybrid course explores the scientific, ethical, and pedagogical foundations of teaching mindfulness-based programs (MBPs). Through the integration of current research, trauma-informed principles, and inclusive teaching practices, participants examine how to engage ethically and skillfully with diverse populations. The intention is to deepen your understanding of how MBPs can be delivered responsibly, with attention to both scientific evidence and cultural context.

This offering is part of a two-course series in the redesigned Ethos of Mindfulness-Based Programs curriculum. It can be taken on its own or in any order with S-MBPE0102 - Ethos of MBP: Teaching Foundations and Contemplative Roots. Together, both courses fulfill a required component of Brown’s MBSR and MBCT Teacher Training Certificate pathways.
