Course Description

This six-week hybrid course explores the foundations of teaching mindfulness-based programs (MBPs) through the lenses of contemplative traditions, adult learning theory, and group process. The ethical dimensions of practice and teaching are highlighted using a rich mix of asynchronous materials, peer learning, and live faculty and peer engagement to support deeper understanding and integration of the ethos that underpins MBPs.

This offering is part of a two-course series in the redesigned Ethos of Mindfulness-Based Programs curriculum. It can be taken on its own or in any order with S-MBPE0103 - Ethos of MBP: Mindfulness Science and Ethical Engagement. Together, both courses fulfill a required component of Brown’s MBSR and MBCT Teacher Training Certificate pathways.
